DAVIDOFF AND THE CHINESE ZODIAC
SETTING THE STANDARD 2013-2024
As the industry leader, Davidoff was the first brand to create a limitededition cigar inspired by a Chinese zodiac sign in 2012. The concept was an immediate success and grew over time: Davidoff gradually added more product innovations to the annual launch, all designed to fill time beautifully in celebration of the Chinese New Year. The Year of the Dragon Limited Edition 2024 completed the brand’s very first global cycle that had begun with the Year of the Snake Limited Edition in 2013. To mark the occasion, Davidoff launched the first Collector’s Edition of the industry, combining all 12 global limited-edition cigars from 2013 to 2024.

Year of the sNAKE Limited Edition 2025
INNOVATIVE BLEND AND TASTE PROFILE
The taste profile of the blend is quite unusual and a novelty for a Davidoff cigar: With its flavours of lemon, leather and coffee, the limitededition cigar makes for a perfect introduction to the new cycle.
Especially the Dominican San Vicente and the Mexican Negro San Andres filler tobaccos, which are both known to stimulate the areas on the palate responsible for sour and salty sensations, drive the fresh and lemony notes without ever overpowering the palate.
The blend is not only unique in taste stimulation, but also in tobacco innovation: This is is only the second time that Davidoff’s Master Blenders have used a Mexican filler tobacco in a cigar, and the first time that they have used a Dominican hybrid seed 98 tobacco from the Martin Garcia terroir, which adds sweet and creamy notes. The wrapper and the binder are both from Ecuador and perfectly balance the flavours.
LANCERO FORMAT
Like the previous 2013 Snake churchill cigar, the long and slender lancero format pays homage to the shape of a snake. Because of its length, a lancero is considered one of the most elegant cigar formats and perfectly captures the elegance of the Snake’s character. Davidoff’s Master Blenders envisioned the flavours gliding dynamically across the palate, often changing direction, while maintaining Davidoff’s signature
balance – a challenge for a complex blend in such limited space, which they carefully mastered. To roll a cigar of this format, the wrapper must be in the best condition and as veinless as possible.
